You wash your face in my sink?

The hand-towel in the kitchen used to live on a hook, which was behind you and across the room as you stood at the sink. When we decorated the kitchen, we took down the hook (or had it fallen off the wall by then? I forget) and the towel has been living on the chair. You have a housemate, don't you? Please tell me that you have a housemate. An annoying one, evidently, but at least it's not the extra arm you've just had fitted.

Um, I live with my boyfriend, so I guess he's technically a housemate. I'm not quite following you with why that's important, though! (And he's not usually annoying, and we have both avoided the extra arms or extra heads.)

Oops I didn't mean to be complicated. Sorry if I was rude. It's just that, reading your message without knowing whether or not you lived alone, I imagined poltergeists.

No, I didn't think you were rude, I'm just a bit hard of thinking on Sundays :)

There aren't any poltergeists. I moved the towel myself (from its "temporary" resting place to its nice, new towel-rail) but am now apparently incapable of remembering that I've done this. I habitually wander to where it used to be, instead of the staringly obviously, convenient place in which it now lives.

I thought after a week, I'd have learned!

Fiction Family sounds familiar. Is it someone from another band doing a different thing?

That was my first wonder, too. Wikipedia, he say Fiction Family is a musical collaboration between Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman and Nickel Creek guitarist Sean Watkins.

So yes... but not of other bands that I know anything about, either!

Oh yes, that's the one. I quite like Switchfoot.
I more than quite like Jon Foreman's solo work, though. He did a series of mini-albums themed around the seasons, lovely acoustic folk-gospel stuff.

I read the post thiking I knew exactly who they were. But, then, I misread it as "Fiction Factory".

You will have fixed this habit at about the time the towel rail breaks and you have to move the towel again.

Given that this towel-rail has gone into its new location as a trial run to see whether we like it there... I suspect something very similar is indeed going to happen :(
