Also liked that Grace suggested he get a gift for Paige, cause she'd totally do something like that, and that even though Carter was guarded about her implications at first, that he loosened up and did end up sharing little bits, in his own way.
Grace really likes that they can have days like this too, and that it's not just physical. She genuinely likes just being around him. I think it's that he makes her feel... to her, he's a steady constant presence. Grounding.
But yes, LOVE IT! THANK YOU *SNOGS*

Grace is someone he doesn't feel like he has to be something specific for. As wishy washy as that sounds, she doesn't expect anything from him. He's just there. Which, as you said, is part of the appeal for her in that he's grounding.
(I could also totally see Grace watching Carter and Paige together -- a la Ginny in that Cedric/Fleur drabble you wrote years ago. ;)
Thanks for leaving me such a fun pairing and prompt! Let's make a date to write them together again someday, hmmmm?

Paige appreciates Grace suggesting a gift for her. She doesn't want to share, but she wants to like Grace. Liking other women is difficult for her, but she's making an effort to like Grace.

I'm glad you liked it! This sort of thing is rare for Carter -- he's guarded with nearly everyone else in his life, except Cassie. It's strange to see him at ease, with someone who doesn't expect anything from him.
