I enjoy Carter and Grace's friendship. I like that they're honest, even if not always easily forthcoming.

Paige would be interested to hear the conversation about what went on between her and Carter, too. :)

Let's be real. I don't think Carter is forthcoming with anyone. But in his defense, he comes by that naturally.

Paige would, would she? I'm not sure what went on between them -- after all, as he said, you'd have to ask Paige to get the story. ;D

Love this!! Grace's internal voice is spot on. Some of my fave bits...

And there was her Piano Man. (Because no matter what, he was hers -- one of her people.) ... They hadn't shagged in months. Didn't matter. He was still hers.

Yup. She's possessive of people. Once she's decided you belong to her in some way, you belong to her (whether you want to, or not XD). I like that their relationship isn't ultimately dependent on the physicality it started with.

She wrinkled her nose at his non-answer. He was a snake, and snakes were always like that.

HA! Pretty much exactly her response in meta XD

It was Grace's turn to shrug as she propped herself on her side, leaning on her elbow. "He's an understudy in a musical opening next week. He'll be by when he comes by."

Her casualness over this is pretty much exactly how it would be if she were to have a boyfriend, and she'd be very excited/insistent that everyone who's hers should definitely meet him. *nodnod*

She would so hold him to that promise he made to tell her about Paige. He doesn't ( ... )

See? I HAVE been paying attention when you've been telling me about meta!Grace. I'm glad it paid off. :D

I think these two will always have a fun little friendship, even after they stop sleeping together. After all, even though it's likely they're not end game, they're still playing. The game just changes.

Also... yeah, sorry about that. >.> I was totally planning on writing with Carter as the narrator. Except he was just like, *eyebrow raise* and You didn't think it was going to be that easy, did you?
