1- Your style is unique, though anime/manga-inspired. 2- It seems unique to me. 3- mange, edgy, cute, 2d. 4- complex geometric clothing patterns 5- You need to draw a manga. A big, epic one. 6- Wow. Sailor Moon, Naruto, .hack, maybe Ozzy and Mille... you don't need 5 do you? 7- Can you find a genius/rich friend or three and make a Realms of Ishikaze movie/game/animated series
1: Your style is really unique, though if I had to pick I'd probably say Bill Watterson and Hitoshi Tomizawa (Alien Nine) 2: Jeez, I dunno. I'm sure I've seen writing similar to yours, just nobody I remember the name of 3: "Visit www.venisproductions.com and see it for yourself, you bum." Alternatively, "Really cute anime-ish stuff with talking cats and pantsless thieves." 4: Incredibly round heads, more stylized and cartoonish rather than realistic, anatomy-wise 5: Sequel sequel sequel (I'd actually like to see another comic in the same vein as AM was, I think it's some of your strongest writing.) 6: Rumiko Takahashi, Hitoshi Tomizawa, Paul Dini, Walt Disney, Chuck Jones 7: Sequel sequel sequel (Also, the latest chapter in RoI seems like it might be the start of a larger plot arc. That seems promising if true, some big epic battle for the fate of Ishikaze would be neat.)
"Type of comic I'd like to see would ideally be a series of one-shots"
By which I mean, I think that using "genre" to describe something is really too limiting. Using genre as a guide to a work can have the affect of cutting down on the story options you allow yourself, whereas just doing something like "space candy" or "vegetable people" doesn't have the same restraints as "western" "sci-fi" "mystery" "fantasy" etc, though it can of course contain elements of all those.
