I thought I'd share with you something that amused a co-worker of mine:

"Akon sucks! He's got no rhythm, no flow! It sounds like he learned to rap from Alanis Morrissette!"

Put down the hockey stick, Canuck. It's not a dig at Alanis at all. :-p

Basically, Akon sounds like he's trying to take unrhyming prose and cram it into a beat. At best, it sounds a lot like a similar effect that Alanis had on her second album (and her third album too, I think). At worse, it sounds... unlistenable, really.
