Little Red Dress
Aiden paid the cab driver and stepped on to the sidewalk, balancing carefully in the high heels she hadn’t worn for a while. She hadn’t gotten dressed up, really dressed up, for ages and when Lindsay had suggested they go to a club, Aiden had jumped at the suggestion. Not so much for the chance to get dressed up herself. Rather, she was interested in seeing Lindsay dressed for a club.
They’d been friends for almost two months now and Aiden wasn’t going to deny that she found Lindsay attractive. But she still wasn’t sure if Lindsay played that way, although there had been moments … but she wasn’t going to screw up a friendship that had quickly become very important on the chance that she had been reading Lindsay wrong.
In the meantime, Aiden was going to enjoy seeing Lindsay dressed up and dancing. And she had paid careful attention to her own outfit, hoping that Lindsay would appreciate the short black dress, the strappy high heels that were going to kill her feet before the night was over, and the glittery makeup that had taken far too long to apply.
Entering the club, Aiden headed for the bar where they had planned to meet. She kept an eye out for Lindsay but she nearly passed over the woman in the red dress before she registered who it was.
Aiden actually felt her jaw drop and she was suddenly very glad Lindsay was facing the opposite direction. Aiden knew she had a good imagination, but this? This she had not been able to imagine.
A low-backed red dress, made of layers of a sheer material, falling to a handkerchief hem, showed off a tight, toned body; heels even higher than Aiden’s accentuated killer legs; glossy curls swept up in a messy twist showed off a delicate neck. And when Lindsay turned and Aiden saw her from the front, her mouth went dry. Sultry makeup, more dramatic than any Aiden had seen her wear before, made her face exotic. The dress molded to Lindsay’s curves in a way that made Aiden suddenly doubt her own ability to form coherent sentences. And as she moved closer to the bar, Lindsay caught sight of her and the expression on her face - frank appreciation and unmistakable interest - made Aiden reassess her thoughts on Lindsay’s preferences.
Lindsay was most definitely interested. The music was loud, the club was crowded and they were both looking just fine.
This was going to be one hell of a night.
