First day of my internship but it was just an orientation involving paperwork, harassment, policy, and company stuff and mostly online, so i was sitting all day staring at a computer reading and listening to boring stuff. the last thing i had to do was about the company's history and values and how great they are, it was so long and repetative,

woo all the cool people started their internships today.

i spent a few hours today estimating exit ramp lengths off of some kinda-badly-made highway plans. it was amazingly boring, but probably more interesting than company policy stuff...

how many interns does your company have? and/or how big the is company?

i'm lucky; i'm one of two interns at a 25-30-person company, so i'll get lots of one-on-one teaching. woo pavements.

that's cool that you're dong pavement stuff cause i want to take the transportation track. my company is pretty big-in several states, in va there are about 5 site they are builing developments at about 6 people per site, and a headquarter building full of people, if i had to guess i would say maybe around 200, and maybe around like 6-8 interns? i'm the only one at my site.
