Resist editing - just get those 1667 words in every day and you'll make it! It doesn't have to actually be strictly a novel, either - you could do a short story anthology or even a long rambling stream-of-consciousness thingie if you wanted. I usually have at least one spot in mine where I'm blathering on about how horribly this is all going and why I think it's rubbish etc.
