i was pleasantly surprised when i checked the hallows 'site at lunch. not only does kim harrison have a pic of the cover of the new book up, she also has the first chapter! hardcover to be released march 20th, 2007, and i'll have to wait longer before the paperback comes out. le sigh. i'll have to content myself with the exerpt... :)

LOL! I JUST got into that series! Actually I mistakenly picked up the third book FIRST and now I have to go back and read the first two. But I really, really liked it....in fact I reccommended it to a co-worker last night who was asking for reccs on good vampire novels. (I've collected vampire novels for years!)

i just adore her books. it's been a LONG LONG time since i've been this excited about anything. tell me the series doesn't remind you of the tv series buffy the vampire slayer? (sure, buffy wasn't a witch, but she kicked ass like rachel. and kisten reminds me strongly of spike, down to the (fake) british accent -in the show, spike's accent is real, but james marsters doesn't really have a british accent -much to my dismay, but oh well... and stupid nick as riley, and jenks as zander (tho i'd love to do some naughty things to jenks, full-size of course

Have you read any of Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series?

Actually I've only ever seen the first season of Buffy (BAD vampire fan!!!!lol!) I keep wanting to see more, but I'd have to find a good dvd copy of them to watch (the first season I got from the library and it was so used some episodes skipped)

I need to go to Kim's website still.....I'll check it out tonight.

Oh, and another good vampire series is Elaine Bergstrom's Austra family books. Daughter of the Night (takes on the Elizabeth Bathory story), Blood Alone, Shattered Glass, and Blood Rites...very, very cool series!!!! I think she has one more out....I'll have to go find it.
