ICONS:
How do I credit your icons?
When you upload the icon, type in "By velvetsun_icons" into the Comment line.
Can I add text to your icons, or edit them in some other way?
I would prefer if you didn't edit my icons. If you really really want an edit, just comment and ask me and I'll most likely do it.
What is hotlinking, and why is it not allowed?
Hotlinking is copying and pasting the url's of my icons and using them elsewhere on the web. Please reupload icons, don't steal my bandwidth. And after you reupload, be sure to credit.
Can I use your icons elsewhere on the web, like Xanga or messageboards?
I would prefer you didn't, because I can't keep track of crediting. If you insist on using my work elsewhere, please credit.
Can I have the original to #34?
If you want to help me out, first check my resources post, all the websites I get my pictures from are listed. If you still can't find something, just comment and I'll probably give it to you.
Also, be sure to comment with which icons you took, even if you're not using them at the moment. If I don't know what people like and what people don't like, I won't know what to make in the future! Which is a bummer for everyone.
LAYOUTS:
How do I use your layouts?
All my layout posts have detailed instructions about how to use the layout. Just follow the instructions and you should have no problems. All the layouts I make will work on Basic, Plus, or Paid accounts.
How do I credit your layouts?
The easiest way is to write "Layout made by velvetsun_icons" into the Bio section of your profile. However, if you prefer, you may type this into a sidebar box so that people don't have to visit your profile to see who made your layout. It's up to you, but the credit must be in one of those two places. Crediting me in an entry does not work because the entry will be buried and no one will know who made your layout.
Can I edit your layouts?
Yes, as long as you credit me for the original codes. Change the header, change some colors, change the width of the layout, but always credit me for the original codes. Many of my layouts have over 400 lines of code. Changing just a couple lines of it and not crediting me for all my work is just not fair. If you take my layouts without crediting, or if you change a few things and don't credit me for the original codes, that is stealing! If I catch you stealing my work I will make the community friends only and you will be banned. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Also, be sure to comment when you take something, even if you're not using it at the moment. If I don't know what people like and what people don't like, I won't know what to make in the future! Which is a bummer for everyone.
MOOD THEMES:
How do I use your mood themes?
All my mood theme posts have detailed instructions about how to upload the mood theme. Just follow the instructions and you should have no problems. Mood themes will work on Basic, Plus, or Paid accounts. (For Basic accounts, you need to switch your account to Plus, upload the mood theme, then switch back to Basic, and your mood theme will still be there!)

What programs do you use?
I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 to make all my icons, layout graphics, and mood themes. To code layouts I simply use Notepad.
