First, thanks for the Poe. I have a complete collection but have never noticed that one. Second, those were two excellent chapters. You write so well, and approach human relationships, even those humans who have been warped by circumstance, with the knowledge of just how complicated we all are. Well done.

Third, a minor quibble. Remember, at this point, Jack did not know how he became immortal. He did not know it was Rose (though I suppose you could claim he had a sort of memory of her voice saying "I bring life...."). It was reasonable to assume the doctor knew something about it, but nothing more specific than that. And he did not not know he was a fixed point. He learned all that later. He's spent more than a hundred years not knowing what the hell happened.

Again, very nice chapters.

OH NO!!! I didn't even think about that. *facepalm* I got so caught up in the moment of writing that I totally forgot about Jack's whole reason for waiting around for the doctor...DUH!
Ok...will be able to fix pretty easily....shall post an edit later today!

Thank you for pointing it out!!!

Both parts of this chapter are absolutely beautiful! I could sense the hurt, anger & desperation. I know he is an adult, but, I sometimes feel Ianto is just a lost little boy. There were so many times in reading this where I just wanted to hug him and cry with him.

The soul searching by Jack was much needed & appreciated. After all, Ianto exposed some glaring truths & Jack is not entirely blameless. And, your portrayal of Owen is fantastic. We sometimes forgot that he is supposed to be a trained, qualified physician; I assume he did take the Hippocratic Oath! No matter the circumstances, the patient comes first. His treatment regarding Ianto is wonderful to see.

Can't wait to see where else this journey in healing takes Ianto Jones & the team.

Lots of beautiful character development and insights. I really enjoyed the poem by Poe and feel it sums up Ianto perfectly. It was nice to see Jack open up and be a bit vulnerable as well. He and Ianto have more in common than they know. There's so much going on in the Cyberwoman episode that a one hour episode can't convey it all,so I always appreciate when someone explores the deeper reasons and motivations as to why Ianto did what he did and how he feels being the survivor of such a tragic event,to find the woman he loved mutilated and in pain.I like how you explore this with the Ianto you've created. Also more great developments in the relationship between Jack and Ianto. Really enjoyed this update!

I really enjoyed reading this fic. I like your insights of the characters, especially of Ianto. I like how you approached the subject of child abuse, subtly yet very powerful, and it means more because of your own experience. The relathionship between Ianto and Lisa is very beautiful and moving, I almost hoped that they can have happily-ever-after and forget about Jack. I'm curious to see how Jack will help Ianto to get better too. Hope you will continue to write this story.

Found your tale searching through twgenrefinders. I really do hope that you are able to continue, at some point. Thank you for sharing this tale, so far. Best wishes, AJ
