I've seen that fabric before but first time I've seen it made into anything, looks fantastic!

Thank you! Where did you see the fabric? I would love to make a corset out of this stuff. I have a dress from Get Cutie in Brighton with a Guadalupe print but the Marys are tiny.

I think its an Alexander Henry fabric. I've been looking at their designs, specifically the day of the dead ones in my case, thinking of whether my basic sewing skills would allow me to make anything out of it!

equilter .com has it!
http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_search.html

they also have frida kahlo prints, tattoo designs, and lots of day of the dead stuff- and they ship worldwide!

that's where i got the blue batik skulls for my wedding skirt too.

i have bought the tiny guadalupe fabric from a couple sellers on ebay, but i did a quick search and couldn't find any that have it right now.

Looks awesome! And the shrine is really cool too...even if it is coupled with some sadness.

Awesome, it's Nuestra Señora. I grew up in a household where she was emblazoned on a random items. Refrigerator magnets. Coffee mugs. Dish towels. Never, however, on pencil skirts. You suit each other.

In the 80's in LA they were on leather jackets and dresses and bags and I always wanted one but I never had any money to buy one and didn't know how to make things like that.

As far as madonnas go, she is my favourite!

Ok, that skirt is to DIE for. And you look straight out of the 30's. I love it!

Thank you! My non-dreaded hair is kind of unpredictable. I'm trying to just go with whatever it seems to want to do at the moment.
