If it's just plain black you want, Marks & Spencers do some nicely shaped ones - scoop necks and deep v necks as well as regular style. I found that the first two look good on bigger busts. I have a couple and wear them often. They wash well, keep their shape and they're pretty cheap too - only a fiver.
Wow-- you are so right about these. I tried some on yesterday and they are perfect and seem really well made. Super flattering too. I got a scoop, a v-neck and a regular crew. Hehe. Thank you for the tip.
I always feel like a sell-out and a half when I post this link, but Threadless has a lot of pretty awesome shirts. I'm not sure how many black shirts they have at the moment, though... here are a few:
I secretly kind of like that one myself, but I don't think I would ever wear it. I have never, at any point in my entire life, gone anywhere to dance. I would feel like a sham.
Yeah, American Apparel XL "Classic Girl" tees do fit me, which is weird because everything else there is way too small for me. I've never just bought one from them, but Otsu use their tees and they are my favorite, fit wise. I just wish they made an on-black design.
Oh, no-- I was just realizing that my two favorite tees are actual American Apparel ones! they just happen to have Otsu designs on them.
I can't bring myself to walk into the AA store on Carnaby street. Creepy hipster snottiness and London prices (20 quid for a tee) If there is one in Portland I might peek in there.

But you know, I always come to dance, everywhere. Which probably makes me, and very definitely makes me in the shirt, annoying as hell.
