Writer's Block: Forbidden Reading

Oct 18, 2008 07:35

We passed around Forever and Wifey by Judy Blume (that one was NOT a young adult book), plus every single V.C. Andrews book out there. Heaven and My Sweet Audrina are the ones I remember most.

teen reading, writer's block, ya

hahah, my parents would have NEVER forbid me to read anything. I probably read The Handmaid's Tale too many times when I was 11 or so though, mostly for the random sex scene.

I don't think my parents ever forbid me to read anything either - there were just things I didn't want to tell them I was reading. Like all the Penthouse Forums I found in their closet...

Definitely the same as yours, although I was squicked by the VC Andrews stuff because of the twin element.
