Here are the rules for the velvet_nights
Rules For Posting
General Posting
1. All posts must be topically related to the Velvet Nights.
-That would include: Dracula The Series, Alexander/Sophie, Alexander Lucard, Sophie, Metternich, Geordie Johnson, and Mia Kirshner.
-That would not include: Bernard Behrens, Jacob Tierney, Etc., unless you can come up with a really darn good way it's related. I'll allow some leeway but for the most part, that would be more appropriate to a more general Dracula The Series community. This is specifically for Alexander Lucard/Sophie Metternich shippers, although anyone is welcome to join.
2. Although anyone may join velvet_nights will not tolerate flaming. Either personally or of the Velvet Nights Ship. I will allow criticism within reason but no flames.
-Velvet Nights will allow mild criticism of the non-Velvet Characters and ships, but no personal attacks and it must be articulate and reasonable. I know some of you passionately dislike a character or two and feel free to express it, but keep it within reason. You can't just say I hate so and so. However you may say, I don't like such and such a character because and then support your feelings.
3. Please always put a subject line on your post, it can be something simple like the title of your fic or something like "7 Icons" It makes it easier for new members to find things and for me to tag and add to the memories.
Fiction Posting
1. Basic Posting Requirements
-Title
-Rating (G,PG,PG-13,R,NC-17)
-Warnings (Character Death, Violence, Sexual Warnings-i.e.bondage, underage, rape,slash, etc.)
-Pairings
-Acceptable Pairing (Alexander/Sophie)
-Non-Velvet Pairings are permitted only as a secondary plot to the Velevet ship or if it furthers the Velvet Nights Relationship.
2. Live Journal Cuts
-Place your story behind a livejournal cuts, they're uber simple, Live Journal Cuts FAQ
Icon and Wallpaper Posting
1. No posting more than 3 icons before a LJ cut and please put them side by side as opposed to in a vertical column. If you have four, go ahead and put them outside a LJ cut, but five put them behind the cut.
2. Wallpapers please only post two samples before the LJ cut and keep the samples to a pixel size of 160x120. Although you may post the papers full sized behind the LJ cut, for the sake of the dial up members it would be best if you have more than one or two to use samples and link them.
3. Please no NC-17 art, kisses and lingerie are fine, but no manips that involve nudity.
4. This is an unusual rule so please be sure to Read Carefully. Any and all art
posts should be available to use. If you make a nifty icon you don't want to share, then
use it as your personal icon, but don't post it as an art post. Otherwise icons should be available for use and in doing so the user agrees:
-Credit MUST be given to the icon maker.
-This doesn't mean you can archive it somewhere without getting their permission.
-Wallpapers are intended for personal use and can't be archived without permission either.
*Exception to the rule. Icon contests, you may post an icon that you don't wish to share but when submitting your entry, indicate to moderator whether you will allow other's use or not.
