Now back on topic! I have no idea what wank you're talking about, so... yeah. I just realized what 'snuff' was (it's such a cute word XP) and am amused and envious of you and your mother. It's amusing that you had that sort of conversation, but I kind of wish my mom was more... lenient, as one might word it, about these sort of things. I don't know if it's because of her heritage (because it really seems that way sometimes) but she's always so... strict, to put it lightly. Some things that she's strict about I can understand perfectly (like going to college to get at least a Bachelor's), but other things (like waiting until I get a job that pays in the six digits range before I get a boyfriend or even consider dating) are rather... extreme compared to most other parents. She knows I can draw well, and is proud of that, but if she found out what I usually drew, or saw that

XP My mother is the exact same way... If the computer is left on, even at midnight, she'll come and wake me up just to shut the damn thing down. >.<;;; When I offered to teach her, she got all offended saying that she hated technology (but if she hates it so much, then she shouldn't love the phone as much).

LOLz My Mother works at a computer all day. ^^; She also knows how to set up programs and stuff. My parents have no clue what I do on the Net, and my boss never did, but Amanda and Brian too, and my brothers used too. LOLLER. (They were never around for my guy/guy porn, though. They knew back when I used to write sappy het PG fanfiction.)

I gave up on the Wank. It makes no sense to me. I don't see anything constructive coming out of it. All it does is generate hurt feelings on both peoples parts.

If the problem is that someone is hungry for attention and recognition, heaping attention on her isn't going to change her behavior. If attention is the pay off, you want to focus on her positive behavior and reward THAT and ignore negative. Then she'll have a reason to want to change.

People are much more receptive to change if you say, "I really like this this and this about you, but this makes me feel bad."
