LJ has some good ideas (I like foisting the responsibility for reading my porn on my readers -- where it should be), but this one...

Here's a new feature:

Do you want users to be able to find you by searching for your primary email address

Ughhhh, yeah. As soon as I heard about it, I opted out. No, I do not want people to find my livejournal. Really.

Yeah, and I don't want livejournal to turn into a "accessible to all" list of valid email addresses. So far only the russians seem to have caught on -- but seriously -- I can't think of any reason why this option should exist, and certainly having it default to on is crap.

I guess if you wanted to find someone you knew and so on, but that just makes me more paranoid because I don't want people (like my parents; god knows I'm old enough to be writing and reading whatever I want, but I still do not want them to find my journal) to find me at all.
