Yeah, part of the fun of writing this was trying to redeem the concept and make it make sense. This came out a lot more low key than my usual writing.

Actually, I'm not sure what the appeal and purpose of wingfic is, so I was actually a bit out of my depth.

This fic is very lovely and beautiful- I adore how you depicted the relationships here and how wonderfully you made the wings make sense :)

Oh thank you. I was trying to write a more complicated and ambiguous relationship for them -- something more than nothing, but not enough that either of them really knew what they meant to each other.

I wondered if this was yours when I read it a few days ago. I loved it, especially the contrast in the relationships Roy had with each of the brothers. With Al, things were simpler, as he could be paternal and supportive in a straightforward manner, but with Ed, he's still feeling out where he stands. I also enjoyed the idea that he had just started thinking of how to enlist them in his cause, only to find that Al was way ahead of him. He's giving comfort to them, but ends up getting a little back for himself.

Everything you did with the wings was gorgeous, from the rainbows to the descriptions of the metal needles of feathers Ed constructed, to the very end of the story.

Yeah, Roy really doesn't know where he stands with Ed. He's not used to be in the position of following someone.

Ed was showing off a bit, but they did come out purty.

I like the image of mechanical wings. What's more, it's a plausible situation. I really like the interplay between characters here, how some of it is really subtle. Great job! ^^
