Why hello! It seems Klaus's target for the event is Waver. I have to admit that I'm entirely canon-blind to him, and given that Girl Genius is such a small fandom, I'm sure you are towards Klaus. That said, I'm great with wherever you want to take this! If you have questions, concerns, or plot ideas, don't hesitate to tell me. I don't have any pressing reason to have Klaus live through round one, so if you think he'd fight him and win, we can work that out! Alternately, if you have a specific death scene you want (meaning, specific witnesses or method), let me know. He's a very strong man who is very proficient in battle techniques, so he'd definitely present a challenge to someone with no regains. I think this fight has the possibility of being pretty awesome and I look forward to creating CR with you.
