Hm. More and more people have told me that my style looks like anime/manga style. At first I refused to show my drawings to anyone, so no one could really tell me what it looked like. Therefore, my skills and style "developed" in peace. I didn't try to imitate any other styles or drawings either, because I thought it was cheating, wrong and bad. At

I can't see where people think you draw the anime style either, Vel. I've looked at your drawings. I don't see the anime-ish-ness that these people are talking about. And I know anime and manga. My husband is an avid collector of both.

I have seen a few drawings of yours in the past that sort of have an anime-ish feel (don't ask me to pick them out because I don't remember which ones they were anymore ^^; ) But I can't imagine people would still be saying that about your recent drawings. I certainly wouldn't consider them to be anime.

For some people, any kind of stylized realism is "anime". Don't take them too seriously :P

They're cartoony, but very few of them have what I'd think of as "anime-ish" features.
