The amount of detail you put into the scenes is amazing. I love your dialogue, I have to remind my heart to keep beating after some of the lines. This is just sheer, I don't know, beauty! I really enojoyed how this chapter turned out, since you said it was an important point in the story and I can't wait to see what happens next. On top of all that, I like your portrayal of Zack too, I'd love to see Rian come around and gain some sense, but eh, your Jack and Alex are so cute I'm content.
