Oh, this was as refreshing & delightful as the season's first ripe grapefruit! Mmmm, no matter what you call PBJoe & ChocoDavid, they taste sooo good together....
Re: the romantic comedy with DH & JF as leads - would it not be beyond splendid if it was modeled on Desk Set?!? Consider the plot summary from IMDB.com: The mysterious man hanging about at the research department of a big TV network proves to be engineer Richard Sumner, who's been ordered to keep his real purpose secret: computerizing the office. Department head Bunny Watson, who knows everything, needs no computer to unmask Richard. The resulting battle of wits and witty dialogue pits Bunny's fear of losing her job against her dawning attraction to Richard. Sumner! *g* Bunny!! *bg*
I can read just about any romance plot and it becomes John/Rodney in my head.
In this one I'd have JF as Sumner, popping up in DH's department every now and then, all flirty and mysterious and DH's character could be both attracted but suspicious (because he's not dumb)...
So yes, I can definitely see it. They're just made to be a leading couple to such plots.
(And I have to grin at the idea of anyone calling any of DH's characters Bunny, especially Rodney, who'd plot death in retaliation ;)
