Progress on the Sentinel AU has stalled a bit since I was sick last week, but I still hope to finish it this month.
I have 84 files in my WIP folder. They have different levels of detail and I'm not really sure how many will see the light of day. There are a few that I really like and reread in their current form, but sometimes detailed notes can make it hard to actually write the fic, especially if it jumps around in POV and things like that.
And some are so old that they don't feel right anymore. In the early seasons I had a few oblivious John ideas, but later episodes have so many intense McShep moments, it's hard to believe John isn't aware at all of his (potential) feelings for Rodney.
But there are a few stories that I'd really like to share at some point. After finishing the Sentinel AU, I won't have any challenges to fulfill but still over 150k to write this year, so that will be a good chance to work on some WIPs (and new stories, of course).
Wow, 84. And I thought *I* had a lot of WIPs! Well, okay, not necessarily WIPs, but I do have a lot of story ideas that I have yet to start. I confess, I like oblivious!John fic - the show does pining!John so well, and it's in every fic these days, that pining!Rodney feels fresh and new.
Wow, 150k to write, and it's within the realm of possibility that you write that much. I can't even imagine, to be honest. If I write over 10k I'm super proud!
