Hmm, interesting. I like the parallel storyline and that Steve got farther than Tony both geographically and emotionally. It was really appropriate to their relative maturities and headspaces. The DADT mention was fitting.

Coupla typos:
Steve had been traveling slowly, taking time to see things that looked interesting along the way., historical houses - bit of spare punctuation

Tony picked up Tiffany in Amarillo, at a bar that he couldn't remmeber the name of. - "remember"

"How long you been back, Steve?" Matt asked, plucking a blade of grass aqnd rolling it between his fingers. - "and"
