As I'm fond of saying to my bestie, I would totally have been burnt at the stake in olden times if I'd been around back then. (Thank God I wasn't.)

Though with the way some things appear to be heading nowadays...a specially-designed prison for 'non-compliant' women ain't all that out of the question. :( (Seriously, not even a week into the new Congress and those bastards have already introduced no less than five anti-choice bills designed to further restrict/take away women's reproductive rights. It's gonna be a long, painful year. X_x )

Every review I've read of this comic mentions the fact that it isn't "subtle." Hell, even I do it, though I'm being explicitly positive. You know what? Real life sexism isn't subtle. Some of it sure, but plenty of it is right out there in the open. Republicans in Congress certainly aren't worried about subtlety
