HOW WILL THEY RESOLVE EVERYTHING IN TWO EPISODES WILL THEY LEAVE US HANGING. PLEASE LET THEM NOT LEAVE US HANGING.

Lol, me either. All I know is he was checking some sort of warehouse. Don't know why.

OMG PETER. I CAN'T HANDLE THAT. May I write fic about this?

Mozzie. Oh, my god, Mozzie. He was brilliant! And adorable! And his marriage was believable! I did not expect that last. And OMG, Mozzie and Neal. All their interactions in this episode were pure gold. Especially the ones where Neal was sort of called out for keeping Moz away from the panthers, except he's trying to keep him safe, and dilemmas, and such fun!

OMG NEAL BECOMING PETER. I CAN'T HANDLE THAT EITHER. May I write fic about this too?

I had the exact same thoughts about Eva and Jack's con! Except, me being me, I just brushed them aside and continued with enjoying the episode :D

Sorry about all the capitals, I'm mostly hovering between *flailsquee* and "don't go away, my first love!" by this point :P

Never apologize for caps in this journal. The only reason I don't speak in ALL CAPS a lot more often is because I feel self conscious about it. I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT THIS SHOW.

They're going to have a hell of a time wrapping all this up, but every episode this season has been so strong, that I actually feel sort of confident. I mean, I'm nervous as hell, but I have reason to think they'll pull it off. (Unless they go with a miserable ending! I will die if they do that!)

I had low expectations for the plot about Mozzie's marriage, but it really worked. But, yeah, everything about Mozzie this episode. And Mozzie with other characters. Mozzie and Neal, Mozzie and Peter, Mozzie and Elizabeth. The only fantastic Mozzie relationship missing was Mozzie and Diana, but one can't have everything.

And you may totally use any of these ideas for fics.

Sorry about all the capitals, I'm mostly hovering between *flailsquee* and "don't go away, my first love!" by this point :P

I KNOW, RIGHT?

Oh me too. I just try to ignore my inner voice (and sometimes succeed!)

If the ending is sad, my heart will be so broken it isn't funny.

Mozzie and Diana! I knew something was missing! I really hope they give her (and Jones) something to do before the end. I miss them.

Wheee! Thank you :3

(well, technically, it's my second, I spent a couple of months and one terrible terrible cliched fic in the tiny Alex Rider fandom, but I declare that that doesn't count. Much of my better writing was for White Collar. And besides, this is the first thing I've loved so crazily.)

But this episode was so about the Mozzie & Neal friendship.

I love all the Mozzie centric eps. : )

It was fun twist to see Neal being the voice of caution and trying to be keep Mozzie from doing something stupid. The scene where the two of them are talking to the charity guy in his office is just Priceless. : ) : )

I also loved Peter getting annoyed at Mozzie for shushing him in his own car and that he didn't get to have a quiet lunch with his wife. ; )

I find Mozzie's use of his code interesting, because it's something Neal just doesn't have. I disagree. Neal does have a code. In addition to non violence and no guns, I believe he has his own sense of right & wrong. He would let someone escape if he thought it was the right thing to do. While Mozzie would have just let the "Scott Free" guy escape, Neal encouraged the guy to turn himself in, because (from his personal experience of being chased & caught by Peter) he really thought it was for best. As much as he looks at his own past with rose coloured glasses, he thought this guy ( ... )

Oh no, I didn't mean Neal doesn't have any code. He very much has a sense of right and wrong. There are things he won't do. He just doesn't have Mozzie's code. Mozzie, despite his general cynicism, ascribes to an idea of "honor among thieves" that Neal doesn't seem to have. Neal and Mozzie both want to do the right thing, but they have a different idea of what that is. Mozzie believes it's important to let criminals do their thing. Neal doesn't prioritize that.

he really thought it was for bestExactly! Neal thought Scott's best shot was turning away from crime. Mozzie never would have done the same in Neal's position, because he would have thought that Scott's best shot was being a criminal ( ... )

I'm really enjoying reading your insights on the episodes and the characters. You generally says things I feel, but you just express it a lot better than me. ;-)

So much love for that walk ant talk about anxiety and Peter's career.
I did wonder a moment if Neal wouldn't be tempted to hide things from Peter to protect him, but I'm not sure actually, because this season seems to be all about them doing what we've waited them to do for 2 or 3 seasons... Talk, share infos, no tension... ;-)

Interesting points about the differences between Neal's and Mozzie's code. Neal doesn't have much problems arresting other criminals (have we ever seen him really questioning whether it was right?)
Though he did let Gordon Taylor escape (Stealing Home).

Another very insightful commentary. I agree with your views. A Moz-centred episode is always a joy to watch, and seeing Peter having no problems believing Moz was the icing on the cake :)

Neal has to ask him what will happen to him if the case crashes and burns, and Peter still doesn't indulge in doom and gloom. This is a big part of why I love Peter so much. He doesn't indulge in dramatics. He just soldiers on

Very well put :)
