When I hear that transgender people have a one in 12 chance of being murdered (the national average is about a one in 18,000 chance of being murdered)
Whoa, I didn't know that; that's really scary. I mean, I'm not transgender, but I agree even for me that's still one of the sort of things that sort of makes me not want to go outside, you know...?
Anyway, I was really glad to see that they're passing it, because it would be insane if they didn't. ...Actually, I apparently live under a rock, because until the whole debacle over the legislation blew up, I didn't know that the statute didn't already include GLBT people-- I mean, it does sort of seem like an obvious category.
...I mean, NO. It's thought crime. Obviously. (sorry, the thought crime just makes me lol a little too much. It's so fascetious.)
Ps- sorry for the fact that this is probably fll of some sort of weird errors; i',m on my mom's work computer and the keyboard is unuseable.
