I, too, had some issues with the manga version of Get Backers. Even though they did some things I preferred to the anime (I felt like the magna was much gritter, for instance, and the threat of being poor was taken more seriously), the constant groping and T&A shots bugged me, and I never read past the first few volumes. I did finish the anime, and I really enjoyed it.

That's exactly what I thought, but, yeah, having to think things like, "Wait, how did she manage to rip her own clothes off while her hands were tied behind her back," is awfully annoying.
I really need to watch more of the anime, considering that I picked up a GetBackers prompt for springkink, and I'm not sure if I have a handle on Ban and Ginji's characterizations yet.
I'm with you on Natsuo and Youji from Loveless, they scare me. They're interesting characters because they show how severely the sacrifice/fighter system and Seven Moons is warping children but I don't find them a bit cuddly. I'm always a little freaked out when I someone gushing about how adorable they are.
To be completely fair, the Zero Girls also scared me a bit as well early in their story arch-- they displayed a dangerous fanaticism (especially Kouya) with and their "lynching" of Soubi-- but I think it counts for a lot that they chose each other over the values (or lack of values) instilled in them and were able to turn their backs on the insitutions that shaped them whereas the Zero Boys return to Nagisa.
Sorry to go on. Natsuo and Youji adoration is something that's been bothering me for a long time and I'm afraid you gave me an excuse to vent.
