Oops. Sorry for the delay! Can't blame my beta for this one: I was actually so stupid that I completely missed the beta'd chapter attachment in an email... But here it is, anyway: second-last chapter (possibly my favourite in this story, since, well, you know, I'm hurt/comfort and arc reactor obsessed, so... Duh). I've got the last chapter back

But now they're still stuck there, with two suits that don't work. But atleast Tony isn't going to die I guess.

That last line, yes! Rhodey gets to say "I told you so" because he actually did, and also saved the day. Blah, it just makes me so sad to think that the Rhodey in the next IM movie might be completely different from the one I've come to love...

And well, when it comes to dying, you know, no need to guess - in my stories, no one ever really dies - well, okay, temporarily they might, but I like to put 'em back together once I'm done with 'em. :D

(Although you know, I can't help wondering sometimes what is it that makes us want to torture our favorite characters so...)

Thank you for commenting! Always glad to hear there are other people out there who enjoy such stuff - basically, I'm just writing the sort of stories I'd love to read, but no one's written yet. :) Alas, things won't be proceeding all that much after this, since there's only one chapter left, but at least it should wrap things up nicely enough.
