Ohkay. This is me going back to my roots. This is an entirely stereotypical, predictable basic hurt/comfort story, the sort I used to write all the time in Stargate fandom. This is completely silly for dozens of reasons. I'm sure the medical and technical side of this are full of mistakes and absurdities regardless of the hours I spent googling

I'm liking this so far. You've caught Tony right on, I think. This is definitely one of those idiotic things he would do, after all. ;)

Thank you. :) Even though this really is a silly hurt/comfort piece, I tried to do my best with the details and characterization, anyway, of course. :)

Also, this seems like such a plausible thing to happen to Tony, he would be all gung-ho and crash into something.
And yay War Machine!
At least he has Jarvis with him to talk to and keep him awake as long as possible.

This is the first time I'm writing War Machine, and I've already decided I definitely need to write more! Yay!
This is also the first story in a while where I'm decidedly writing Jarvis as a "real" AI, but he still totally steals the show. :P

omg. stereotypical hurt/comfort. eeeeeeeeeee. That makes me so incredibly happy. You have no idea how much I've been looking for friendship hurt/comfort. I've been trying to write, but it's not coming. Anyway, this is a placeholder for the review you're going to get when I read the story. I can't now unfortunately because I can't take my lappy to school because it's heavy and may kill my back when I have to walk like a mile or two. Which makes me sad because I'm really excited to read this story. I love friendship hurt/comfort more than anything. It makes the world keep going. You're awesome for writing this. (I totally know about the Stargate thing, by the way... I sort of wrote for some other fandoms that were the same way)

Whee, always glad to hear I'm not the only crazy hurt/comfort fanatic out here :D Yup, one of my many reasons for writing this was that there isn't a whole lot of this sort of stories in the Iron Man fandom (I guess there is quite a bit of h/c, but it's hardly ever gen). Definitely not enough, since there's never enough. ;) Now, I'll just hope you won't have too big expectations and that the story won't disappoint when you actually get to reading it... (I always worry too much about stuff, blah.)

Whoo! Yeah, you know.. I don't mind het h/c, but it's not the same as friendship. And I don't read slash, it's not my thing, and I'm fine that it exists and stuff, it's just not my cup of tea. There's so definitely not enough of this. Anywho, I'm definitely reading your story now, I need a little lift in spirits and some warm&fuzzies.

Read the first chapter, finally. Yay!! I'm so excited for War Machine, that's going to be so awesome. Rhodey is too cool. So is Tony, naturally, and that's a very dumb and Tony thing to do. I'm loving it so far. :D
