So I just had my compensation review and now Im scheming all the ways I can make a bigger increase happen for next year! I'm very happy at my job and I'm happy to help friends get hired if I can. I love my company. They're giving me just over another dollar an hour.

At Anthony's going away party, Bob mentioned that Sherman died maybe three months ago.

I held it together until we gpt home, when I burst into tears.

I loved that dog so much. I miss him terribly. Wjat is wrong with me? It's been almost a decade. It makes me so sad to know I didn't get to say goodbye. :(

Anthony told me he is moving to New Zealand next month. I was telling Jeremy what a terrible idea it was and ranting a little, and he said, "You sound really angry about this."

I had no idea there was curcumin in vanilla extract! I have a tiny bottle on my desk that i brought back from Mexico that i splash into my coffee instead of cream. Yummy!

I just added it all up. This month will end with $720 of editing!

I did $3400 of editing in 2016. I asked for more jobs in 2017 due to buying a house, and my editor delivered--i ended with $6040 for the year!

Since I've done 11 jobs this month alone, I'm on pace for another great year. The neat thing is that my raise at work means I'm making bank ( Read more... )

When I was hired here in July, I negotiated to get the same rate of pay I was making at YP. I didn't want to take a pay cut to take this job. They conceded, but only under the condition that I would not be up for salary review until a year had passed. Normally, raises are determined each year in October and go into effect on Christmas....
