00:00 @asaphira-sachi Not to mention one of my all-time favorites, Naono Boura :D She draws beautifully sculpted men, AND they're usually very novel... #
@asaphira-sachi I guess one could make the argument that lots of the stereotypical ukes aren't much MORE girly than some guys in non-yaoi anime, but I guess with the introduction of a seme type, lots of mangaka sort of ( Read more... )

Joy to Naono Bohra! I love that she is one of the few mangaka out there who draws actual characters that are unique to each story. Not just a handful of faces with different names that are hard to tell apart, but identifiable characters after a whole slew of oneshots and stories out there. I don't know how she does it.

She's magic, that's how.

And I dunno, I love that she has an age fetish too XD (And not like, an age fetish in the way that a lot of yaoi/shota mangaka have an age fetish, but in the way that she likes old dudes. Not older, old. Like, not geriatric-old, but still. I appreciate this XD)

*grins* Oh yes, I can't deny that I enjoy the young man with older man scenarios. All of that experience is quite useful, after all. ;) But seriously, the dynamic is lovely, especially when families get involved. There's the sense of 'I've tried to make life work, but it only seems to work with you' in many of the stories with the older men and it makes me happy inside.

Even more entertaining when the older men are actually the inexperienced ones XD (Hence my love for the story about the detectives-or-whatever where one has.. touch-telepathy or something...)

But yes, yes!! Even with her oneshots, a lot of the time, there's a certain richness of character that comes in her stories. Not lengthy character pieces, no, but a certain sense of background to these characters we otherwise know nothing about. SHE'S GOT THE TOUCH.
