Every weekend, gem2niki and I drive up to San Francisco Zoo and meet up with some classmates from animation class to do lots of live sketches of animals. Kangaroos, this semester (because we have to pick one medium/large gestural animal and then stick with it..) We actually took that photo with him first, before Batman came over. When GL saw my friend and I approaching, we could just see this look come over his face, like, "Oh GOD, not those weirdos again.." XD

Everyone has to have a hobby. ;) Though I must admit that Spiderman at a zoo is a rare find. Did they have a detail board on him in the area like they do for the animals? For some reason, I imagine them have nicely written facts, and then Spidey comes around to scratch out his height to something taller, adding flattering adjectives, etc, etc. ;)

It was something like a promo for the opening of a special insect exhibit. They sent out a notice that said, "MEET SPIDERMAN!" but below that they had a photo of some dude with a zoo uniform and a cheesy smile with a tarantula crawling on his chest. I assumed that was their "Spider Man". Imagine my surprise when they had the actual Marvel Spider Man, standing amid the raccoons and box turtles in the children's petting zoo area! :D

Wahahaha, I would've made the same mistake, too! That's absolutely hilarious. You should've sketched him, instead, and claim that, "well, I found him at the zoo... *innocent eyes*" ;)
