Your mention of her monumentally and horrifyingly terrific Suedom scares me. D: I watched a bit of the second and ran fleeing, but my hatred of Sues and Elizabeth runs so deep that I'm honestly afraid of this one. King of Pirates wtf?

Also! Picture! Awesome! Though when I was running through my f-list, my first reaction to it was "ASDLKJSADJLASKLDKLJSD PIRATE XALDIN! :DDD"

Honestly, I was SO ick on Elizabeth in the second, and I caught wind of spoilers on her Suedom, but.. I think she really redeems herself in this one! She owns up to her guilt (and Will does get pissed with her), she does a lot of growing, and by the end of this film, they really suit each other. It's heartbreaking.

I'm starting to love dredlocks SO MUCH. It's kind of a recycled design, but still gettin' the kinks worked out and whathaveyou ^^

But... but... SUE. D: I was ick on Elizabeth after the first one, honestly. (Turning Norrington down, what was she THINKING?) I guess the question is, does her growth cancel out the OMG Sue.

I could never deal with having dreads myself (I had to REMOVE someone's once). But the are nice to look at sometimes. :D

I screamed, "TENTACLE RAPE! TENTACLE RAPE!" I think the writers are skimming our communities, srsly. Too much awesome--must see again.

You know, in that scene where Jack gets Will tossed overboard with his body-barrels? Totally coulda kissed him full on the mouth in context of the film characterizations and still accomplished the same effect. (Actually, I understand Jack was supposed to, and Will was supposed to react the way he did in that scene, so.. I'm thinking that was the scene under discussion. We're hoping for a cut scene or an easter egg of it on the DVD release. None of this is known to be fact.)

Oh cut Will some slack (I know you weren't being down on him though XP)--he coulda been a responsible father and played hooky from his dead-ferrying duties, but then he'd have gotten all spooky and fishified! Even though fanart/fics lead me to believe Will would be a very sexy pirate fishman.

So yeah, I think she becomes a pirate so she can meet up with Will on the sea all the time, and they can fuck like bunnies on their ships.

She is still the Pirate King, no? Makes me sad to think that with all her bucking of traditional female roles and how clearly well she works as a pirate, that she'd end up settling down with a kid somewheres. Though that might be weird if she took him with her when she went to get down and dirty with Will on the sea.

I'm sad for Jack. He can't fuck like bunnies with anyone on that dinghy T_T (Then again, he can't race against Liz to make conjugal visits to Will in that little boat either. Man had better get immortal and steal back the Pearl fast.)

Seriously, fics following the events of this movie had better be nothing but Jack and Lizzie racing each other to make conjugal visits to Will on the Dutchman. Racing. And sometimes tying when they get there. I think it's going to be a good year for the fandom.

I finished him (more or less) before the movie started, but after coming out of it I was like, "Ohhhh I gotta name him Larry!"

Did Barbossa seem kinda sexier and less gross this time around? Or maybe I just got so used to the filth, I didn't notice it so much. And aww I never DON'T love a pretty young man who so capably gets himself trussed up once per film in a trilogy XD

OH! YES! XD And then he pulled out the jams in front of the Brethren ^^ I guess he must've behaved for long enough on set. That was pure fanservice, that whoooooooole character bit XP

I think the not!rotting helped lots. Actually, I found most everybody was at their sexiest in this film, like Beckett (esp. once he'd gone off the deep end--mmm, catatonic) and TiaCalypso and waxing-philosophic!Jack and OnePiece-finding!Liz and pierced-ear!Will and sensitive-eyed!Davy Jones and- ooh, except Norrington -_- Ugly ass uniform. Poor guy never caught a break.
