Boy, would that game have been far easier for me to follow if I could do simple arithmatic in my head. I can't. I fail at being Japanese American or something. THEY JUST KEPT SAYING NUMBERS AND IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME.
What was the benefit of having Jones call him (Bill) out on the sum he called out?
DAMN YOU HOLLYWOOD FOR ATTEMPTING TO MAKE ME ACKNOWLEDGE MATH IN A BRAINFLUFF MOVIE T___T
Soooooo... Bill stepped into the game as a player completely independent of Will's pot, so to speak? For some reason, I thought he was pooling their offers together or something. Um. I don't know why.
I didn't quite catch why suddenly 100 souls were needed either (Jack's soul > most individuals' souls?), but then I was fascinated by the way the back of Jones' head was pulsating. And the strange octopussy UST I was sensing.
I... don't know. I'd like to pretend that I didn't just completely shut my brain off from the moment they started placing bets until the game was over, but I did. XD;
I am a huge movie fan, but that is simply overpowered by my bad, BAD math skills.
EXACTLY, thank you. I felt so bad that the tittering fangirls sitting next to me seemed to be processing it, while I was just sitting there with glazed eyes going, "Whuh..?" These days, I can't even add in my head, and I certainly couldn't process whatever it was they were doing.
FIVE. EIGHT. SIXTY. THIRY TWO POINT NINE. A FRILLION. WHAT??
basicallly i don't how the game works but you bet the totall number of like nubmers taht will show up and than you show your dice i think but whats important is basically they all made their bets and siad how many numbers thety had and will lost to davey jones and than wills dad basically lied about the numbers he had and everyone knew he was lying and if you lyie you aoutmatical become the uber looser! i saw the moive twice it helps alot you can understand everyones pretty acent better
Ever play Cheat on Neopets? It's like that. You say "I've got four fours" and the next guy has to call you a liar or up it to five fours or a number of fives. Bill calls out an outrageous sum so that he's the one to get called on the bluff instead of Will.
The wikipedia article on the movie supposedly has more detailed rules.
Sooo.. does anyone actually know how many he himself has? And was I mistaken in hearing that it also had something to do with the other players' dice counting towards the sum you call out, or..? Oh man, I was never good at games like this -_-
