Cold hard bitch. Calleigh felt terrible sending Speed back to his hotel. She knew how invested he was in this case, and she didn't mean to step on his toes... but some things had to be taken carefully. Jim looked up as he heard the knock. He'd come into the office to try and wade through some paperwork, but - if he was truthful with himself - it was also to try and take his mind off things. He needed to get back into work; he'd been living too much in his head lately.

"Come in, door's open." He glanced up as Calleigh Duquesne came in, and one hand automatically went to straighten his tie. "Hey, Miss Duquesne - please, have a seat." He remembered his manners just in time, and stood up. "I don't think we've been formally introduced. I'm Jim Brass."
