A bit more random observation - Sherlock

I re-watched parts of The Reichenbach Fall last night.  I also finished reading Swordspoint by Ellen Kushner (rather interesting) at the same time, so basically I'm an emotional trainwreck.

Spoilers for The Reichenbach Fall, obviously )

Hmm. The only thing I can think of is the part when they're having tea and Moriarty refers to John. I don't remember the context. I know it finishes with Moriarty suggesting that he get a live-in ordinary person, but the original reference to John may have been slightly admiring? Something like how he can't abide ordinary people, except that Sherlock has John, or something?

Oh yeah, there was that, though I think it might not have been all that admiring? Moriarty was all, "Aren't ordinary people ADORABLE?" And Sherlock should know, since he has John. And then, Moriarty entertained the idea of getting a live-in one himself.

Still, this is the stuff fics are made of, basically.

Am listening to Elgar's cello concerto and thinking about this episode while at work. IT IS NOT HEALTHY.
