Hello! On Saturday, I'm going to be tabling at Humane Planet Expo, an event put on by the Palo Alto Humane Society. It's not specifically a vegan event, but there should be a lot of people who are at least sympathetic there. I understand how environmentally-minded people aught to be vegan, but of the anti-war argument I haven't heard yet. Could you please explain?

There are three basic reasons wars are fought: greed, differences of belief, and scarcity of resources. By going vegan, we free up a lot of resources (food, water, energy, etc.) that are used very inefficiently in animal agriculture. So, we go a long way toward eliminating the third on my list of reasons for war.
