Books on UK Farming

This community has been recommended to me by the lovely friend_of_tofu, so here is my first post. :-) I have tried finding the answer to the question below both by Google and the community tags, so I thought I would ask.

Can anyone recommend any good books about UK farming from an environmental impact angle and has a scientific basis?

I don't know any books specifically about UK farming and the environment, but here's what I would recommend- I don't know if you're a student, or have any friends that are university students- but online scientific journals are your best bet for objective information. If you can, I would search for info in these as authors of books tend to have agendas when they write, so you might not get all the info that way. Just a suggestion, hope it helps ;)
