...I don't know. I met a friend here from Maine. She says Minnesota is 'harsh'. I don't want to ruin it for you though. I also know that MCAD is a damn fine school.

Yessss I so hope we get to attend! We would both be going for our MFA. I dunno, here on Lake Superior we get -30 windchills in February, as well as many days where the temperature doesn't rise above 0ºF but I hear it's the same/slightly worse in MN. At least we can say the U.P. prepared us for it, if nothing else!
I'll add Evergreen to the list of excellent vegan food in the TC area. It's a really nice Chinese place that has tons of vegan options. Their Mock Moo Goo Gai Pan rocks my socks, also vegan fried spring rolls, NOM. Bravo, the Luce, Fasika (amazing vegan Ethopian food), French Meadow and Tampopo (Japanese noodle place) are also great. I'm usually more in the St. Paul side of things but it is really easy to go between the cities by bus, on bike, etc.
Since Compassionate Action for Animals is in the Twin Cities area, the veg guide (http://www.vegguide.org) is really full of stuff from our area. Lots of vegan friendly places. Heck, there is even a joint in St. Paul that makes homemade vegan ice cream with solar power (Izzy's).

I'm no help, but I'm going to be moving to the Minneapolis area in January so I'm glad to hear it's vegan friendly!
