vegan white tattoo ink and vegan tattoo artists in boston area

after thinking it over for a good long time (i.e. 2+ years) i've decided i want to get my first tattoo-- a white ink tattoo that says "vegan" in interesting font on my right inner wrist. however, i don't know if white tattoo ink IS vegan, or if there are any vegan tattoo artists in my area (which is the boston area; NH seacoast to be specific).

and also, i have a black vegan wrist tat, right where i can cover it up with a watch if need be for job purposes- might be an idea.

I will let you know it might be hard to find a reputable artist that works with straight white ink if you have fair skin.

My brother had a tattoo shop and most of his artist only used white ink as a highlight or in shading. White ink tends to be translucent, it can work if used for highlights or small areas, but it never truly stands out or pops.

I grew up in new hampshire, and I can not only relate to most people in new hampshire not knowing what a vegan is, but I live in pdx now and I am so grateful for scapegoat. Most artists can order vegan ink just for you but you will pay more for it. Worth it though, no?

And I second what a lot of people have said about white ink possibly being a bad idea in the long run. Go for it if you want to though, if it fades, hey, it's white and you can always tattoo over it.

I also have a vegan wrist tattoo - mine is green but most of the time people don't even notice it's there. Idk how but there are many people I've met who I figured must have seen it, but later they said they had no idea I had a wrist tattoo! lol
