How about this? Does it lead the viewer's eye around the picture better?

Alison likes this one. She says, "You've got the attention going from left to right, and you've got this swoop that's the cross-bar on the A as a real vector going in that direction."

Alison also likes socraticomatic's rotated version, and says if we use that we can lose the bunny. I say NO WE CANNOT LOSE THE BUNNY!

THE BUNNY STAYS.

Bunny has a machine gun and will use it if zie needs to.

I think that's much better!

I think it would also be good to see one with the text wrapped around the base of the e, though, to compare.

think about posting this to the graphicdesign community for feedback. They do that sort of thing all the time.

Great idea. I was wondering whether there was a community like that. I didn't think of looking for that particular name. Thanks!

I like the 2nd design much better, however you may not want to make the right side of the logo too busy. I've taken some graphic design courses before, and I've learned that people's eyes tend to focus on the right side of an image. Therefore, you should have slightly heavier visuals on the left side in order to achieve balance. Hope that helps :)

Also, if you put the 'e' up higher and in closer, it creates a better feel.

Yes. Thanks! Maybe EVEN higher? Or maybe it should go on the top-left piece of the e, so that the eye can read from top left to roughly bottom right?
