Vegan Planet/ Veganomicon

I just went vegan and bought Vegan Planet and Veganomicon to get some meal ideas, but I'm very overwhelmed! What are your favorite recipes from each of these books and is there a reason why other than "it's super delicious"? Thanks!

there's a pumpkin sage dish in v'con that's awesome, also in v'con: chickpea cutlets, chewy chocolate raspberry cookies, blueberry brownies, pineapple cashew stir fry, eggplant moukassa, chili cornmeal crusted tofu, roasted portobellos.
i need to get out vegan planet to tell you what i like. there are more than 20 recipes i use regularly in that one. it's FANTASTIC, healthy, and uses very few odd/expensive ingredients.

all of the things i've made from vegan planet have been great. i made the tuscan white beans with garlic and sage (p.289) served on crusty bread for a party and that went over well and is very simple. the curried chickenless salad (p.450) and the gold and black bean salad (p.115) are good summer lunch/picnic staples. there are so many recipes i still wanna try.

My Veganomicon top five (listed in order of ease): pasta della California, black beans in adobo sauce, rosemary foccacia, seitan cutlets (baked version), and seitan piccata. Other recipes I love are the creole stuffed peppers, caesar salad, and eggplant muffaletta. The ice cream is also very good. What I love most about Isa and Terry is that their books are based on cooking from scratch. They don't involve a lot of premade items like cheeses and fake meats so they are far less expensive than some books. Although, there are some recipes with harder to find ingredients.

My Vegan Planet top five (in order of ease): artichoke salad parfaits, caponata crostini, Tuscan white bean soup, three bean dal, pan bagna. I haven't touched this book in a while. It has a ridiculous amount of recipes. My favorite, by far, is the three bean dal. Whenever I make Indian food I'm sure to include it.

The enchiladas with kale and potatoes (don't remember the name) are phenomenal. From Veganomicon. It tastes like Mexican food despite having no cheese, beans, or rice.

From veganomicon, the chili-cornmeal crusted tofu po-boys are really good! And tis a pretty quick make. I've made it fried and baked, and they're both pretty good.
