I can't remember the numbers, but I know women who eat eggs several times a week are something like three times as likely to develop breast cancer than women who don't eat eggs.

I remember seeing data recently suggesting increasing egg intake increases a woman's risk of ovarian cancer, which, when you think about it makes sense I mean eggs *are* from the ovaries.

i will say that when i first went vegetarian (long before going vegan) i gained like 15lbs. i couldn't figure out WHY i had gained weight.. weren't vegetarians supposed to be waifs?? then i noticed i had been living on egg & cheese omelettes and grilled cheese and pasta alfredos while out for dinner, etc.

ovo lacto vegetarian can SO EASILY become a diet that's WAY unhealthier than omnivore. when the options are limited to tasty options that contain tons of eggs and cheese or less-tasty options that are vegan.. the ovo lacto always reaches for the former.

same here. when i went vegetarian i did lose some weight (because even my unhealthy vegetarian eating habits were much healthier than my omni eating habits) but i couldn't figure out why i hadn't lost more. turns out fried egg and cheese sandwiches every morning aren't really that great for you.

Neu5Gc is present in eggs and causes inflammation in humans and is especially rich in red meat and cancerous tumours. It is not present in plants.

For precision, the levels of Neu5Gc are very low compared to meats.

Eggs have tons of cholesterol. I preferred avocado even when I was vegan.
