Can anyone here recommend a vegan friendly resort -- Cuba, Mexico, Peru, the Bahamas are all good options ( Read more... )

I knew about a few of those -- such as The Lodge in Grenada (which looks awesome, and if it isn't too insanely expensive might be an option, even if it is a B&B). I hadn't yet seen Rio Caliente Hot Springs Spa & Nature Resort though, which also looks like a possibility.

Unfortunately, no listings for Cuba, which is the first choice for everyone else here.

You must not be American. Apparently you have to watch out for Castro's "secret police" while in Cuba.

I haven't seen the video because there is no audio on this laptop, but I get the gist from the website.

Flying is not my preferred anything. I eat almost exclusively local (and in Canada, in the winter, that means I haven't had any fruit save for what I canned in the fall, and the apples I stored in my basement -- I am now down to my last couple of pounds :( ). I bike to work, and I am working on growing most of my food.

My ideal vacation is cycle-touring.

I get it, trust me.

But this vacation isn't about me, and I won't be paying for it. So my choices are to disappoint people, or try to make it something that I can live with.
