fast food

So I've heard that Taco Bell's beans are vegan, and that the original Pizza Hut crust and sauce are vegan, but do you trust that at all?  Are there any places that you trust to get french fries at?  Sometimes I just have to have something fried, but I just don't trust these places.  Help please??

taco bell and pizza hut are owned by the same people who own kfc
tricon
they also have a large history of humans rights abuses
please don't support tricon (pizza hut, kfc, taco bell)
for the people and for the animals

Thanks for all the help!! I looked on Papa John's website (which is fantastic) and they have this about their garlic sauce:

Do any of your products contain animal-derived enzymes?
A majority of our products contain biosynthesized and/or vegetable-derived enzymes. However, our pan crust and the cheese blend used on our Tuscan Six Cheese pizza contain animal-derived enzymes. Our pizza dough contains fungal or bacterial derivatives. Our garlic sauce contains lactic acid, which is not classified as an animal derivative because it has been fermented.

Does your garlic sauce contain animal derivatives?
NO. Our garlic sauce contains lactic acid, but this is not classified as an animal derivative because it has been fermented.

So safe? or no? I don't really understand what it means by "fermented"

Heh, what a strange explanation. I think they are trying to say that is fermented from things other than milk, but who knows.

Just makes me want to say things like, "Our hamburger is not an animal derivative because it has been ground up into tiny bits."

If I'm stuck and can't get to a grocery store or something, the only fast food place I trust is Del Taco, since I worked there for a few years. Not only are the beans vegan, but they are actually beans slow cooked in water, no "bean powder". The fries are safe, as well.

Oh god... bean powder? That actually exists? *dry wretch*

Once I became vegan I cut out fast food restaurants immediately. Even if some have vegan options, personally I can't justify giving my money to them. I'd much rather go buy my own french fries and bake them myself (much more healthy anyways).

The only "fast food" places I go to are Panera, Noodles and Company, Papa John's, and Chipotle. If I really want fries, I go to any one of many local vegan friendly restaurants or else I make them myself. That's probably not of much help, though. I say, when you really want some, make your own just the way you like them!
