I'm not really sure when this was aired.. apologies if it's already been posted.

I'm keenly interested in veganism as portrayed by popular media. Do you know of a forum where there is more of a discussion along these lines?

No, but people don't want to look at "doing the right thing" if it means they won't enjoy themselves anymore.

At least the answer to their idiotic question was "yes, it tastes really, really good!"

This is one of the few times veganism gets positive press, and you step on it with disdain. Did you even watch the whole thing? Russel Simmons hit upon some important points toward the end of the feature.

If the whole country went vegan just for health reasons, you'd probably treat their efforts like trash because they're not doing it for the same reasons you are.

Aw that was kind of niceee. The one thing that annoyed me was how baffled they were through the beginning -_- "GOING VEGAN IS GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?!?!!?!?!" No shit, it's not that shocking is it?

One thing I hate about American news is that they talk slow, and they dumb everything down. They tailor themselves to the lowest common denominator.

Thing is, most of the LCD thinks CNN is haughty liberal elite media and FoxNews is the only source of truth. They are the least likely to even think about "giving up" their steaks. In reality, CNN could speak at a higher level and still have its target audience understand them.
