Election year

Voting Republican is NOT vegan. Conservatives have long supported policies that are detrimental to wildlife and the environment. your vote this november and every election, should reflect your lifestyle accordingly.

so why cant voting be used to help us as well? i honestly think if democrats were in control the last 8 years 9/11 either wouldnt have happened or if it did, our civil liberties would have been more well protected. we live in a police state now. it's been bad for a long time but never this bad.

The internet was actually developed by and for the U.S. military.

Hell yes! Even more so when it's supported by Brock!

(That is Brock, right? I used to love Brock.)

Last time the Lawrence Arms were here (end of 2006) I was in hospital. Thankfully they had played a show the week before (their first headlining show in the Southern Hemisphere!) that I was able to go to, so I didn't miss out completely. I would love to see Sundowner, I'm so jealous. We haven't been getting been getting many good tours here in Australia lately, it sucks.

You don't see me jumping all over other people in this thread who think differently than I do. I certainly don't expect anybody who finds merit in voting to believe one iota of what I say.

Nevertheless, I see more than one "potential voter" that finds flaw in your little postulation about how to vote. This is not about ideology, it's attitude. Plain and simple. Please quit with the childish retorts. (not that I havent been guilty of a few in my time!)

wait, you didnt call people that vote ignorant in your very first reply? man you are just all over the map.

Voters don't keep this country together, kid.

I'm done responding to you.

Please, educate yourself. You'll go farther when you actually know what you're talking about.

when did i say that voters kept the country together? you're putting words into my mouth because you cant keep your stance straight. you implied that voters were the ignorant people supporting the US capitalist system.

this isnt about education, because we arent arguing over FACTS, we are debating over an opinion of whether or not to vote and you have been trying to misconstrue it every which way to uphold your weak argument for apathy.

"You don't see me jumping all over other people in this thread who think differently than I do."

I refer you to your very first comment and the subsequent thread.

Now as a mod I tell you tone it down.

voting is a political act.
there is no way you can argue that not voting exercises more political power than voting.

i agree. at the very worst, it's pointless (i.e. rigged or severely flawed) and at best you get the lesser of two evils. meaning that an obama usa will hopefully be slightly better than a mccain usa.
