I just read an article about my school's (VCU) research being funded by philip morris. wtf. apparently (obviously) not a lot of people know about this. they're funding research about tobacco related health and environmental issues. i'm not sure if they're funding any animal testing at my school, but it still sucks. i guess it's to be expected when

philip morris funds research at my university too. i'm always tearing down the posters they put up around campus about giving students funding for research. at my school, they ARE testing on animals with this money. they're pieces of shit.

they also put a lot of money into the arts, mainly dance.
