I have always heard doctors say it's important to take a multi-vitamin, and I have. But now I want to finish up my women's one a day's (I only have 3 left) and transfer to a vegan supplement. What is a good supplement that doesn't have too much B-12 in it? I mean I already eat a couple fortified foods so I really don't need that much and we really ( Read more... )

I don't have any great suggestions as to multivitamins, but I added a couple of tags for you.

heh. :-)

so to translate, only mods can remove tags from an entry. lavajin is a mod, so that's why she was able to remove it from your entry, and that is also why you, (singing4every1) were not able to remove the tag.

I take VegLife. I've only just started taking it, but it seems to work well.

I take VegLife too, but only because it's the only one I can find locally, and don't have a credit card to order online with.

I always forget to take it every day, so I don't know if it REALLY works, but it seems to make me feel better than when I don't take it.

look around at http://www.veganessentials.com/

also, B vitamins are water soluable- so you'll just pee out what your body doesn't need.

Unfortunately that advice doesn't work for everyone. Too much b6 (more than 10mg) and I get neurological symptoms such that I can't stand up or hold things as I shake so bad. Peeing it out isn't quick enough. Fortunately this is rare, but it's a hassle.

Are headaches a possible symptom? I got horrible headaches taking a b-complex vitamin too often, and I'm having the same problem with a liquid multi I recently bought.
